New terminal at Kolbäck means improved service

Our new terminal at Kolbäck was opened on 9 June. The terminal and its geographic location were carefully chosen to enhance the level of service for our customers in the Stockholm and Mälardalen region.
The terminal includes a new mixer station with three new silos where lime and cement are mixed to produce SMA KC Binder, which is used in soil stabilization applications. The lime comes from our production units at Rättvik, Boda and Kullsberg.

The opening of the new terminal has involved collaboration with Bröderna Svanströms transport firm, a family business dating back over 80 years. This partnership will help SMA Mineral to maintain it’s reputation for reliable and fast deliveries to customers, especially in the soil stabilisation field, where lime often has to arrive on site at a specific hour of the day.

The opening included speeches, a buffet and a tour of the new silos and the bulk container trucks used for delivering the lime. In addition to staff from SMA Mineral and Bröderna Svanströms there were also representatives of customers, Hallstahammar municipality and our partner, Cemex.

SMA Mineral would like to thank everyone who attended and, thanks to our new terminal at Kolbäck, we look forward to giving even better service to our customers in future.

If you have any questions about the Kolbäck terminal or about our lime products for ground stabilisation, please contact our expert:
